My ISP (Shaw Cable) recently announced that users are supposed to have a 50% speed increase so I decided to test it out. My last speed test for UsenetGuide showed up with a peak speed of 8.82Mbps which is darn close to the (then) advertised 10Mbps limit when you include overhead. As I’ve said before, UsenetGuide offers amazing speed and completion. Here is a screenshot I took tonight using Newsbin Pro. This was taken using 10Mbps cable (Shaw cable in Canada) The download was with 3 simultaneous threads. Not too shabby I’d say. [...more]
