Another speed test

My ISP (Shaw Cable) recently announced that users are supposed to have a 50% speed increase so I decided to test it out.
My last speed test for UsenetGuide showed up with a peak speed of 8.82Mbps which is darn close to the (then) advertised 10Mbps limit when you include overhead.
I reconfigured my router for 10/100 speeds as previously it was simply set to 10Mbps full.
I opened up Newsbin Pro and started download three binaries at once. Speeds were in the mid 14Mbps range.
What?
They shouldn’t be in the mid 14’s. Perhaps mid to high 13’s with packet overhead. So I opened it up to 4 simultaneous threads and I got to see the speeds below.

18.22 Mbps from 4 threads. Nice. I’ve done speed tests from other premium providers and some of them don’t give these kinds of speeds.
No speed limits here!
